Wyatt Mitchell may be starting a new trend.

On Monday, March 25, Apple offered a five-star speech to present its latest innovations and services. Yet the real stars of the show were neither Oprah Winfrey nor Tim Cook, but Wyatt Mitchell and his audacious look.

The “Star”

Hot topics were presented such as on-demand TV services, credit cards, digital kiosks, and many more… But, those many digital revolutions were quickly forgotten when Wyatt Mitchell came on stage.

This Apple designer came to present a series of new applications. He showed up on stage rocking a cream boiler suit with Converse x Off-White sneakers (the transparent version of the model Chuck Taylor All-Star). For sure, the former creative director of the New Yorker literally stole the show from Tim Cook (Apple’s CEO).

The “Excitation”

Why is it so exciting?

Because it’s a revolution for the usual conservative looks of Silicon Valley. This completely changes the perspective of computer geeks, stereotyped for their lack of style.

The “Jumpsuit”

Those close to Mitchell say that his jumpsuit might not be as random as it seems. The great photographer George Pitts was known to wear a similar Dickies jumpsuit to his various places of work. Mitchell worked with Pitts at Vibe magazine. It’s likely that his style left an impression on Mitchell, among other things. Sadly, Pitts passed away two years ago.
