On April 5th, sneakers, T-Shirts, caps and other apparel released as part of David Bowie x Vans collaboration.
Vans continued David Bowie’s creative legacy in a capsule collection celebrating the musician’s colorful life, in which we can see references from Bowie’s iconic work such as Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, and Aladdin Sane.
The “Ready-to-wear”
Items from the collection feature vintage David Bowie graphics. For example, the iconic red and blue lightning bolts that Bowie wore on his Aladdin Sane album appears on some items. Other pieces present a serious Moonlight-inspired graphic from the 1984 concert video.
The “Footwear Preview”
The footwear collection kicks off with a pair of Classic Eras designed to represent Bowie’s 1969 single “Space Oddity”.
Next up is a pair of Slip-On 47 V’s inspired by the coat Bowie wore on his Hunky Dory album cover.
The Sk8-Hi Platform 2.0 or Ziggy Stardust is inspired by Bowie’s alter-ego, known for his cherry red hair.
