Presented in a lookbook helmed by rising UK rap artist Nafe Smallz, the Footpatrol x The North Face collection is warm and stylish at the same time.
Footpatrol x The North Face
Footpatrol and The North Face are teaming up for a forthcoming collection inspired by groundbreaking expeditions of the 90s. The new collaboration is a makeover of The North Face’s classic Archive Trail Fire Road. But, this time in a black, white and purple colorway.
Showcased by London grime and rap artist Nafe Smallz, the collection comes in a predominantly monochrome color palette. Indeed, the color choice is centered around a striking purple hue that reminds us of the hiking themes of the ’90s.
Moreover, the purple choice adds a retro touch to what are some of The North Face’s most recognizable pieces, such as the iconic Mountain Light Jacket.
The collection
This capsule collection is centered around a signature Mountain Light Jacket which comes in The North Face’s windproof, waterproof and breathable fabric known as DryVentTM.
The Mountain Light Jacket receives a makeover with an array of new details, including a travel pass pocket hidden away in the lower sleeve. To complete the look is a detachable mask paying homage to the iconic Footpatrol Gasmask logo. It gives a “Techwear” appearance to the collection.
There’s also a black and purple Half-Zip Pullover, a Mountain Gore ball cap and a Trail Fire Road hiker sneaker. This last one features a heavily layered upper with a diamond pattern membrane on the mudguard.
Of course, Footpatrol brings a GORE-TEX membrane to the sneaker, which ensures that the wearer’s feet stay warm and dry.
