Nike just launched its latest iterations of Blazer Mid featuring bold “Laser Blue/Watermelon” and “White/Midnight Navy” colorways. Here is a full look at the Nike SB Blazer Mid Edge Hack Pack.
Nike SB Blazer Mid “Hack Pack”
This original pack is based on the idea of hacking the design of both the Nike SB Blazer and SB Bruin. Using different materials and combining them into one to create a perfect deconstructed look. In fact, this new design draws its cues from popular Nike collaborators like Off-White and Sacai.
The two sneakers included in the pack feature different styles. On one side, the “Laser Blue/Watermelon” opts for a vibrant mix of neon-adjacent hues. On the other, the “White/Midnight Navy” offers a more toned-down style.
“Hacking” Sneakers
On the design’s side, asymmetrical and deconstructed are the main characteristics. The external Swoosh is missing from its usual location on the midfoot. In fact, there is nothing more than loose threads showing where it would usually be placed.
However, it’s not totally gone. If you look closer at these Blazer Mid Edges, you’ll notice that this Swoosh has been juxtaposed onto the toe box. Here, it cleverly serves as an asymmetrical mudguard.
Internal swooshes are completely intact and lead up into a heel tab with further Nike branding. In addition, each tongue is doubled up, providing the aforementioned Sacai cues.
Here comes an interesting twist. The first tongue uses exposed foam in classic Blazer style while the overlaid one is significantly thinner and equipped with an SB Dunk Low Pro hit.
