According to @py_rates_, the Prada x Adidas Superstar collab hasn’t said its last words. In fact, 3 more colorways are rumored to be released in March 2020.
Prada x Adidas collab
Adidas and Prada announced their first collaboration on November 7 on social networks, publishing a photo of a Prada paper bag holding two Adidas branded shoeboxes.
Then, on November 25, the Italian house and the legendary sneaker brand took over Instagram to unveil the first official images of the collaboration, finally ending weeks of suspense. At this time they also added: “more to follow in 2020”.
The first drop featured a co-branded, Italian-made Adidas Originals Superstar sneaker as well as a bowling bag. The collection released only 700 pieces. Both the Superstar sneaker and the bowling bag were identifiable with a unique serial number ranging from 001 to 700.
In the first collab, the Prada x adidas Superstar was sold together with the leather bowling bag for €2,500 or approximately $2770. To date, on Stockx the sneaker resells for an average of $2000 and the bowling bag for another $2000.
Leaks are indicating we could be seeing three more colorways of the same sneaker model in March. The reported colorways include Black-white, Triple black, and Silver.
Prada Adidas Superstar 2020
Thanks to @py_rates_, the leak suggests that the Superstars will come in “White/Black,” “Black/Black/Black,” and “Silver”. Much like the previous release, the shoes will be marked with “made in Italy”, a nod to the premium quality offered by Prada. Of course, the luxury house’s logo will also appear on the side panel of the shoe.
Finally, the original mold of the silhouette will stay untouched, but luxury materials will be incorporated into each model.
Release Date & Price
The release date for the Prada Adidas Superstar 2020 has yet to be officially revealed. However, we can expect it to happen in March and to be sold at a retail price of $450.
