10 years after their first collaboration, footwear brand Dr. Martens has once again teamed up with our favourite Japanese cartoon cat, Hello Kitty. Here’s a first look and where to buy the upcoming collection.
Dr. Martens x Hello Kitty
After a previous collaboration with streetwear giant BAPE, Dr.Martens is back with a new interesting partnership. This time, the brand has decided to work with one of the most iconic cartoon characters.
On the brand’s latest collection, the adorable Hello Kitty is seen across a handful of different items, including some of the most iconic Doc silhouettes.
First, the Jadon boot keeps its usual black leather upper but sees two different kitty motifs featured on each side. The eyelets have been updated to heart shapes. Black and white laces round out the style.
Then, always in the classic black colorway, the iconic 1461 boot arrives with asymmetrical heart designs featuring Hello Kitty and her sister, Mimmy.
A pair of “vegan” platform sandals also gets a Kitty-themed makeover. The classic black design is branded with multiple red bows. Finally, a Kitty head chained around the straps finishes the look.
In addition to the footwear collection, there are also two pairs of kiddie’s boots up for grabs. Moreover, a heart-shaped shoulder bag and two adorable pairs of socks are also featured in the Hello Kitty x Dr. Martens capsule. It’s with no doubt that this new collection will be a success.
Release Date of the Footwear collection
The Hello Kitty x Dr. Martens collection is set to release on March 6 at select retailers as well as online on drmartens.com. Prices will range from $13 USD to $249 USD.
