The affordable luxury line of Maison Margiela, MM6, has unveiled a collaboration with The North Face. Here are a full look and release date of the upcoming unisex capsule.
MM6 Maison Margiela x The North Face
First revealed at MM6’s London Fashion Week Show on February 16, the collection introduced a new take on The North Face’s outerwear. The capsule particularly focused on the Expedition System line. A series of detachable, layered pieces designed for extreme weather conditions that were introduced by TNF in 1990.
The series has been redesigned to refer to the circle concept of MM6 Maison Margiela. On each piece, the MM6 numbers logo mirrors the classic TNF logo in white thread embroidery.
Even if MM6 Maison Margiela is a women’s line, the collection will offer pieces for both men and women.

The collection includes pieces such as the hooded Himalayan Coat, the cape-style Mountain Kaban, and the compact Nuptse puffer jacket. Also, the iconic Denali jacket has been reworked to appear as both a dress and a sweater.
Utility-wise, the capsule features a new zipper system that allows pieces such as the Denali and Nuptse to be integrated into the Mountain Kaban.
In terms of design, the collection sports a bright colour palette of cobalt, violet, green, yellow and orange.
Accessories such as the padded Nuptse scarf featuring dual pockets and a loop fastening system, opera-length alpine mittens and Margiela “Tabi” boots will also hit the collection.

Release Date
The MM6 x The North Face capsule will be available from September 2020 in selected multi-brand stores as well as on MM6‘s and The North Face‘s online stores.
