Etudes has just released a capsule for spring-summer 2020 featuring what we could call an unexpected partner. In fact, the brand teamed up with the world’s most iconic online encyclopedia to create the Etudes x Wikipedia collection.
Etudes x Wikipedia
Fashion has absolutely no boundaries. Indeed, last year Off-White teamed up with the Musée du Louvre to release an da Vinci inspired apparel collection. Shortly after, Louis Vuitton officially announced a partnership with the NBA. Now, Etudes taps the online encyclopedia Wikipedia for a collaborative apparel collection.
For Wikipedia, this partnership opens new horizons, extending the company’s reach beyond the online platform.
Wikipedia is known to be both the favourite tool of students in lack of inspiration and the essential platform when it comes to knowing the age of your favourite star, or the date when coca-cola was founded. The online encyclopedia has really made itself essential for the majority of Internet users.
Etudes & Wikipedia Collection
The collection is an unusual fusion between Etudes and Wikipedia and includes pieces ranging from sweatshirts, shirts and t-shirts to shorts and accessories.
Of course, each piece is branded with various logos and references to the online encyclopedia. The Etudes logo is more subtle and is here to finish off the looks.
Moreover, a part of the profits will be donated to the Wikimedia Foundation. The latest is a charitable non-profit organization aimed at encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual content.
