To commemorate Bowie’s epic Aladdin Sane album, Vans decided to release two styles featuring Ziggy’s signature red and blue lightning bolt. The Old School option comes in a pearlescent white color.
The Sk8-Hi model features a checkerboard printed sidewall.
Vans also paid tribute to Bowie’s final album, ★, which was released in 2016.
Bowie and Vans references
Vans kept the collection truly collaborative with every piece referencing both Bowie and Vans’s legacy. The “OFF THE WALL” branding appears with identifiable album covers.
