Orelsan’s clothing company Avnier releases a collaboration with Saint James, a well established marine clothing brand. The new collection entitled Saint James x Avnier combines history with modernity.

The Orelsan x Saint James Collab

Saint-James, known for its sailor knits, is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year. To honor this long-lasting dedication, the brand has teamed up with Avnier to release a bold collection. Indeed, the world-famous rap artist Orelsan and the designer Sebastian Strappazzon combined artisanal know-how and modern urban pattern.

What’s interesting about this collaboration is that on one hand, we have a century-old brand specializing in marine clothing. While on the other we have a young, ultra-creative label with a streetwear spirit. So, the fall 2019 collection combines hundreds of years of craftsmanship with new age streetwear.

The Orelsan x Saint James Collection

The collection consists of several hats, scarves, and pairs of socks, as well as sweaters, sailors, and trousers, entirely made of wool. All items are declined in several colors, including traditional white / navy, but also orange and red.

In more detail, flagship models of Saint James have been reinterpreted by Avnier with the addition of fluorescent zips, while a pair of trousers has for the first time been entirely designed in Saint James virgin wool.

Moreover, this collaboration’s lookbook consisted of a series of shots signed by Camille Mompach. The photographer has immortalized workers and models in the workshops of Saint James. Take a closer look at the pictures in the gallery just below!
