Nike is about to releases two pairs of Dunk Lows dubbed Kentucky and Syracuse.

Both colorways pay tribute to universities that were part of Nike’s initial “Be True To Your School” Dunk pack. The sneaker capsule was released in 1985 and featured 7 Dunk High silhouettes made for the Universities of Michigan, Kentucky, Iowa, Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John’s and UNLV.

The “Kentucky” Dunk Low comes in a “Varsity Royal Blue” and “White” colour scheme while the “Syracuse” Dunk Low switches the blue for a striking “Orange Blaze”.

Nike Dunk Low “Kentucky”

The “Kentucky” sneaker features deep blue tones overlaying the white neutral base. The smooth leather construction gives the shoe a high-quality appearance.

Despite the absence of a team branding on the shoe, the style was actually created for the US basketball team Kentucky Wildcats. Fans or not, these kicks are a must-have.

The sneaker manages to incorporate the same colour blocking and oversized proportions as the Kentucky iteration. But, for this pair, Nike opted for a striking and vivid orange to contrasts the crisp white leather.

The bright colour appears all over the sneaker. In fact, the mudguard, Swooshes, rear pieces, heel tabs and laces all receive the Orange spark.
