2018 was a year of extreme contrasts in fashion. People dressed for functionality and, often, with a desire to shock. Many changes in the dress code and some new trends appeared.

Many of the 2018 trends will not disappear, but it is likely that they will evolve.

Like Karen Dacre says: “A boiler suit, in its 2018 fashion incarnation, is a bit like a slice of ham and pineapple pizza: captivating, a little repulsive and actually, quite delicious”

It’s not everyone who appreciates the pineapple pizza which is still a debate around the world! One thing is sure, this jumpsuit became fashionable in 2018 and will be sticking around for 2019. If you love it, wear it!

Practical fashion was in vogue in 2018, thanks to millennials’ desire to shop brands selling clothes that last longer and have a purpose. Because of this, outdoor brands such as Patagonia and The North Face saw a surge in interest. Fashion brands are creating their own trend version of this jacket. The fleece is a new trend for 2019. Be ready for the cold Winter.

The “Athelisure”

With 24 % of  the sales in the apparel industry, Athleisure has been a leading trend in fashion for almost a decade and will grow throughout 2019. When you have comfort and function combined with fashion, it’s difficult to go back to anything else on a regular basis. In 2019, this trend will define a new elegant & utility look.
