In the race against climate change, there is no time to lose!

Sustainability and climate change has slowly taken the forefront of the fashion industry in recent years. For example, Adidas and Parley teamed up to clean up the oceans. But also the North Face and National Geographic took the initiative of recycling plastic waste from national parks all across the US. Now, Nike has stepped up to contribute towards climate action by joining the United Nations Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action.

The Charter

The charter is a commitment made under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It was launched in December 2018 in Poland. By signing it, global brands, retailers and suppliers are committed to reducing their gas emissions by 30% by 2030. The other mission is to share a vision to reduce to 0% emissions by 2050.
