Nike continues to reference the arts for the new Air Max 270 React designs. This time, inspiration comes from the music industry. In fact, Nike has launched a new Air Max 270 React collection including 5 new colorways referencing different music genres. A specific sneaker was made for Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, Electronic Dance Music, Reggae and Punk Rock.

The Air Max 270 React is undeniably one of the most comfortable sneakers that have been released recently. It combines Nike’s first lifestyle Air unit, the 270, with the brand’s smoother and more resilient foam, the Nike React.
5 Genres, 5 Shoes
Each of the Air Max 270 React arrives with a specially designed insole. It presents graphic elements and typographic details referencing the music genre from which the shoe was inspired. Take a complete look at the Air Max 270 React Music Pack just below!
Nike describes the “Hip-Hop” colorway’s all-black paneling as a way to embody “the activism, love, and rage needed for change”.
The “Heavy Metal” features a mix of dark tones. In fact, the upper is made with deep shades of blue, purple and black. The golden swoosh adds a sparkling touch to the shoe.
“Reggae” pair evokes the Jamaïcan origin of the music genre. In fact, it presents a calm colorway made of sand beige and forest green. It reminds us of the amazing landscapes of Jamaica.
The “Punk Rock” comes in a cleaner aesthetic choice. It features a black upper with clean white underlays and logos emphasizing the contrast.
Finally, the brightest of the collection is the “Electronic Dance Music” colorway. It features different shades of red, pink and crimson to signify the thrilling bright sounds of EDM.
