In a few days, Converse will be adding a psychedelic colorway to one of its flagship silhouettes, the Chuck 70. Here’s an official look at the upcoming Converse Chuck 70 Egret/Multi.
Converse’s creativity
We’ve seen some pretty stimulating iterations of the Chuck line over the past few months. For example, there has been the Wacko Maria collaboration as well as the UV-activated Chuck 70. Both of them proved how creative and disrupting the footwear brand can get.
This time, converse comes back with a new disruption in terms of design: the Chuck 70 Egret/Multi.
Just after unveiling its partnership with Joy Division and PLEASURES for a limited 150 pairs edition, Converse has announced the latest iteration of its Chuck 70 Hi silhouette which will come in vivid psychedelic swirls of “Egret/Multi.”

Made with marbled canvas uppers, these Converse Chuck 70 Hi show off a psychedelic aesthetic in a classic sports silhouette.
In fact, the color scheme includes several shades of pink, blue, yellow and orange. They are applied in a splash pattern that may have some resemblance to the latest Apple commercials.
Moreover, offsetting the loud prints, flat cream-colored laces appear along the forefoot. The medial sides come with Converse’s All-Star patch logo in black, debossed in silver foil. All of these details sit atop a vintage “Egret”-toned midsole.
