How do you find inspiration for your outfits?
To be honest, I’m far from being a trendsetter. In fact, I have a hard time creating outfits. But, as an entrepreneur, I’m not shy to ask for advice whenever I need it, and I usually stick with one or two friends who are always happy to help.
Do you spend a lot of money on clothes?
Absolutely not. I try to wear a different outfit for each event that I run. If I had to wear designer clothes to every one of them I’d break the bank in a year. I stick to affordable brands and people still recognize my style. From my point of view, It’s not about what you wear, but how you wear it. I prefer to have a perfectly matching outfit than to rock a Gucci shirt.
How did you dress for your launch party?
First of all, I knew that my event was going to host lots of decision makers, so I had to build my authority. I also knew that my friends and longtime partners were going to show up so I also had to be “approachable”. I decided to go with a light blue suit (authority), a funky printed white and blue shirt (reachable) and some white Air Force 1 (casual). Of course, I sought the help of my friends for it!
